Japanese company Sumitomo Chemical eyes long term view with Nufarm investment

"The takeover play saw Japan's Sumitomo Chemical take its 20 per cent in Nufarm at $14 a share. The Japanese company has since crept its stake up to 23 per cent and has a representative on the board....the end game looks like a takeover but the Japanese are notorious for having long-term time horizons"
